In some later edition yesterday an incorrect caption accompanied a photograph of Senator George Mitchell and Ms Desha Girod at the presentation of class rings to George J. Mitchell scholars in Dublin yesterday.

In an analysis of the Northern Ireland elections, also in later editions yesterday, the sentence "I don't believe it," said the Victor Meldrews in the DUP and Sinn Fein' was altered in the editing process to read "... . . said Mr Victor Meldrews of the DUP and Sinn Fein."
