Moscow - President Boris Yeltsin vowed yesterday that Russia would remain a force in space exploration and said his prime minister-designate, Mr Sergei Kiriyenko, would oversee the industry.
"We are a great space power and as difficult as it might be, we will allocate funds for space projects," he told leaders of Russia's space programme at a Kremlin ceremony.
