A woman has been injured in a gun attack on a house in Co Limerick. A number of shots were fired at a house in Georgian Villas, Old Cork Road a short time after 1am this morning.
The woman, who was in the house at the time, received a minor leg injury and was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
A man in the house was also taken to hospital suffering from shock.
Gardaí said two men dressed in black and wearing balaclavas were seen running from the scene after the incident.
A technical examination of the scene was conducted this morning and investigations are ongoing.
