London - A young woman was airlifted to hospital with serious head and leg injuries yesterday after being struck by a lamp post which came crashing down into the street in heavy winds.
The victim, aged in her mid20s, had to be revived by paramedics when she stopped breathing after the incident in Cavendish Square, in London's West End.
