The weather should return to more normal conditions today, following windy gusts of 70 miles an hour yesterday.

The strongest winds were recorded in the west and north-west of the State but inland weather stations at Clones and Claremorris recorded gusts of up to 60 miles an hour.
Mr Michael McAuliffe of Met Éireann said Mayo and Donegal got some of the strongest winds, "but it was generally windy everywhere", he added.
About 10,000 homes in the Galway area lost power intermittently on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning after lightning hit three sub-stations.
Stormy weather conditions in Cork left up to 8,000 homes without power early yesterday morning but the lines were repaired by 8.30 a.m.
Although the severe weather took people by surprise, the conditions weren't exceptional for this time of the year, according to the Met Office.
"It is still winter after all," Mr McAuliffe said.
