The winners of the ESB Environmental Photography Awards were announced yesterday.
The Minister for Public Enterprise, Mrs O'Rourke, and environment journalist John Craven presented the awards.
The awards ceremony was held in the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre in Dublin.
All shortlisted entries will be reproduced and mounted to become part of a touring exhibition.
Over £12,000 in prize money was divided between the 13 winners: Junior Award 1st Prize - James Maguire, Marshallrath, Dunleer, Co Louth; Youth Award 1st Prize - John Wallace, Brookville, Glanmire, Cork; Amateur Award 1st Prize - Richard Redmond, Gorey, Co Wexford; Professional Award 1st Prize - Lorcan Brereton, Foxrock, Dublin; International Award 1st Prize - Eb Swarbrick, Manchester.
