A number of major events, including a U2 concert in Slane, will result in thousands of people being on the move this weekend. As a result delays should be expected.

Diversions will be in place around Slane for tomorrow's U2 concert and motorists travelling north and south on the N2 should heed diversion signs.

Dublin:

The All-Ireland football semi-final between Galway and Derry takes place at Croke Park on Sunday and those travelling to the city should look out for diversions caused by the construction of the Luas.

Benburb Street will be one-way into the city centre between Parkgate Street and Blackhall Place. Westbound traffic will divert via Queen Street Bridge, Victoria Quay and Frank Sherwin Bridge. Mary's Abbey is closed at Capel Street. Diversions are signposted via Little Strand Street and Little Britain Street.

Liffey Street Lower is closed at Middle Abbey Street, also to facilitate Luas works. Diversions are signposted via Bachelor's Walk, O'Connell Street and Middle Abbey Street.

Henry Street will be closed between the junction with O'Connell Street and the junction with Jervis Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained to all shops on Henry Street.

Chancery Street is closed between Greek Street and Church Street to facilitate Luas diversion works. Diversions are signposted via Greek Street and Mary's Lane.

Roadworks are in operation until further notice on Leeson Street at the Adelaide Road.

In addition to the bus lane, a one lane restriction will be in place on Usher's Quay on a daily basis from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice. This is to facilitate the building of a bridge. South King Street will also remain closed until further notice.

Cork:

Diversions are in operation to inbound traffic off the Lower Glanmire Road between Tivoli and Water Street until 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 2nd, for Cork main drainage works. There will be no access to Middle Glanmire Road from Colmcille Avenue for the duration of these works. Diversions are via Silversprings Lane, North Ring Road and Blackpool bypass. Motorists travelling to the city centre from Fermoy and Midleton can use the Jack Lynch tunnel or the Blackpool bypass as an alternative.

Resurfacing works will continue on Upper Cork Street, Mitchelstown, until further notice. Dublin bound traffic is being diverted onto Georges Street.

Limerick:

The Ballysimon Road will be closed between the Fairgreen Road and the Childers Road until September 10th. Diversions are in operation on the Tipperary roundabout.

Waterford:

Roadworks are in place at the Lisduggan roundabout at the Keane's Road/Tycor Road junctions. The top of the Vincent White Road and Slievekeale Road will close. Diversions will be in place until August 27th.
