Stockholm - Relatives of Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who disappeared after saving thousands of Hungarian Jews from Hitler's gas chambers, hope President Boris Yeltsin of Russia can help them finally discover his fate.

They want Mr Yeltsin, who started a state visit to Sweden yesterday, to give Sweden full access to archives on the case. A former KGB chief, Mr Anatoly Propopienko, told the newspaper Expressen that an important document concerning the fate of Wallenberg has been held back.
