Tallahassee - Detectives investigating the theft of toys collected for the poor found two dozen missing ones under the Christmas tree of a co-ordinator of the charity drive, Florida police said yesterday.

Mr Donald Arthur Dwyer (61), who for several years has co-ordinated "Toys for Tots" in this coastal town north-east of Orlando, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with grand theft, a spokesman for the Volusia County Sheriff's Department, said.
