More people work in the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland than in agriculture and tourism together, according to a report by the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action.

The State of the Sector report was introduced at NICVA's annual conference yesterday. It says the voluntary sector employs more than 30,000 paid workers, 5 per cent of the North's workforce.
