London - The tiny hamlet of Upton Cheyney in southwest England near Bath, with its 12 houses and 160 acres, has been purchased by an anonymous bidder for £1 million, press reports said yesterday. The residents had sought to raise money to buy the hamlet themselves after the previous owner's plant nursery failed, but were outbid by the anonymous new owner.
