There were calls last night for Australian Mark Viduka to face trial by video following the 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
The striker appeared to elbow the Arsenal and England defender in an off-the-ball incident in the first-half.
Keown said video evidence ought to be used to decide Viduka's fate, just as it was last season after a Highbury enccounter that saw the centre-back elbow Viduka in May. Keown was fined £10,000 sterling and given a one-match ban on that occasion.
Commenting on the 26th-minute incident, Keown said: "Whether it was deliberate or not I do not know, but it is ironic that it is the same player, the same team that I got my punishment against last season. I am sure the people in authority will look at it. It will be seen on video, but I am not the type to complain".
Neither Leeds manager David O'Leary nor Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger saw incident.
"I don't want to make any comment on that incident until I have seen it again," said O'Leary. "I know at the time I gave the referee a bit of stick because I thought we were through with a chance and I couldn't understand why he had blown up.
"But the referee did well. It was a game which was refereed well, especially as there were a lot of people waiting to pounce," he said.
