Beijing - The dismantled American EP-3 spy plane held on China's Hainan Island since April was flown back to the US yesterday, marking the end of a bitter row between the two countries, writes Miriam Donohoe.
The US Pacific Command confirmed that the EP-3 departed Hainan in a giant Russian made cargo plane. The plane was forced to land on Hainan after it collided with a Chinese fighter jet on April 1st resulting in the death of Chinese pilot.
