Six US soldiers were seriously injured in an apparent "terrorist" grenade attack on US forces camped out in northern Kuwait, a US journalist told CNN tonight.

A US miltary spokesman in Kuwait told AFP he could not confirm all the details of the report.

"We don't know what occurred. Initial reports are that 10 people have been injured," Colonel Rick Thomas said.

The journalist told CNN that two grenades were apparently rolled into a command tent in what seemed to be a "terrorist attack." He said six soldiers were seriously hurt and that two others were lightly injured.
