Business investment in Britain rose by a revised 1.0 per cent in the third quarter from the previous quarter, stronger than the 0.1 per cent gain reported just one month ago, official data showed today.
The revision took the gain on a year ago to 5.3 per cent, the Office for National Statistics said. Third quarter investment was £29.34 billion compared with £29.06 billion in the previous quarter.
