Mr Shane Fitzgerald (23), has been elected president of the students' union in University College Dublin, the largest university students' union in the country. Mr Fitzgerald, a native of Athlone, is currently serving as welfare officer. Mr Cormac Moore was elected education officer while Ms Fiona Hannon and Mr Darragh Purcell were elected welfare officer and entertainments officer respectively.
