UBC Media Group today said its dance music and youth programming producer G-One has signed a three-year deal with Norman Cook, also known as Fatboy Slim, to produce a programme for the US radio market.

First broadcast for the one-hour weekly strand, Fatboy Slim's Brighton Beach Mix is scheduled for spring. The show is expected to air on US music stations WKTU in New York, WPYO in Orlando and WPYM in Miami.

In addition, UBC Media said its Unique Interactive division has signed an agreement with EMAP radio under which EMAP will use the unit's digital-radio text technology across its portfolio of radio stations.

EMAP's Kiss, Smash Hits, Magic and Big City network stations, including The Hits in London, will be able to transmit 128 characters of on-screen scrolling text to DAB Digital Radio receivers nationwide.

Financial details for the deals were not disclosed.
