Tyrone teen fights for life after being stabbed eight times

A teenager is fighting for his life in a Northern Ireland hospital after receiving eight wounds in an overnight incident.

A teenager is fighting for his life in a Northern Ireland hospital after receiving eight wounds in an overnight incident.

The young man received six chest wounds and two back wounds after he was involved in an altercation outside a premises in Cookstown, Co Tyrone.

Police are investigating the incident which happened shortly after 2 a.m. on Oldtown Street.

The young man's condition is described as critical but stable.

A second person was treated for two stab wounds but his condition is not serious.
