Two youths are being treated in hospital after gardaí in Galway pulled them from a canal.
A Garda spokesman said local gardaí assisted in the rescue after the pair "jumped" into the canal in the early hours of yesterday morning.
They were taken to University College Hospital in Galway, where they received treatment for their injuries.
Their condition is not yet known.
