Two US soldiers were killed and two wounded in a roadside bomb attack in the Iraqi capital Baghdad overnight, the US military said today.
A military spokesman said the soldiers were killed late on the western edge of Baghdad. He gave no details on what the troops were doing at the time of the attack.
Since the start of the war to oust Saddam Hussein in March last year, 679 US soldiers have been killed in action in Iraq.
