Two men arrested in connection with the shooting of another man in Co Dublin this week have been remanded in custody charged with assault and firearms offences.

Jason Nolan (20), from Walkinstown Avenue, Dublin 12 and Jonathan Dunne (21) from Windmill Road in Crumlin, Dublin 12 were charged at Tallaght District Court with assault causing serious harm to Ian Kenny (22) at Lakelands Road in Stillorgan, Co Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.

They were also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The two men were remanded in custody in Cloverhill Prison and are due to appear again in court July 13th.

Mr Kenny is in a critical condition in St Vincent's hospital with gunshot wounds sustained in the attack.
