Gardaí have arrested two people in south Co Dublin after they were found to be carrying a handgun.
The two - one a teenager and the other in his twenties - were confronted by gardaí after they were seen acting suspiciously in the Ballybrack area.
They are being held in Shankhill Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offenses Against the State Act.
