A man has died in a car crash in Co Meath and a second man was killed in a road incident in Dublin early this morning.
A 27-year-old man was the driver of a car that hit a van at Grangegeeth junction near Slane just after 9.30pm last night.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains were removed to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where a postmortem examination will be carried out.
The driver of the van, a 23-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries, a Garda statement said.
The scene remains closed pending examination by forensic collision iInvestigators and traffic diversions are in place.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses.
Separately, a man died in an incident in Dundrum in Dublin at about 2.45am this morning.
Gardai were called to scene of a collision involving a pedestrian and a car at Clonard Lawn. A 28-year-old male pedestrian was taken by ambulance to St Vincent's Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured, gardaí said.
Forensic collision investigators are at the scene, the road remains closed and traffic diversions are in place.

Another man remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital in Dublin following a collision between a stationary Garda car and another vehicle at the Red Cow interchange yesterday.
A total of 201 people have died on the State's roads since the start of the year.
