Two men were seriously ill in hospital today after a row at a party turned violent.
It is believed a fight broke out at a house party in the south Dublin suburb of Tallaght early this morning and that the men attacked each other with broken bottles.
Gardaí were called to the scene at Parkhill in Kilnamanagh at about 6am. Both men were taken to Tallaght hospital where they are being treated for serious head injuries.
No arrests have been made.
The scene was preserved for technical examination.
