Two men are being questioned today by gardaí investigating ongoing feuding in Limerick city.

The men, aged 20 and 23, were in a stolen car when stopped by gardaí early yesterday morning, just across the county border in Co Clare.

A Garda spokesman said the car believed to be stolen, was spotted by gardaí in Limerick city at around 2.00am yesterday. "It refused to stop when requested to do so and was subsequently stopped a short distance away on the Athlunkard Road, Corbally, Co Clare," he said.

"Two men were arrested who were in the car and a loaded Glock pistol was recovered. The car was confirmed to be stolen."

The men are being detained under section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at Henry Street and Mayorstone Garda Stations.
