Two killed in Dublin accidents

A 20-year-old student at Dublin City University was killed when her moped collided with a lorry in Dublin yesterday

A 20-year-old student at Dublin City University was killed when her moped collided with a lorry in Dublin yesterday. The woman, from south Dublin, was thrown from the moped when it struck the articulated lorry at the Tolka Bridge junction on Drumcondra Road shortly after midday. She was taken to the Mater Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Gardai have appealed for witnesses.

A taxi driver died early yesterday after his vehicle collided with another car at the junction of Dorset Street and the North Circular Road, Dublin. The name of the dead man has not yet been released.
