A man (46) and a woman (20) have been arrested this morning by police investigating the murder of a married couple in Co Armagh last March.

Detective arrested the pair at a house in the Waringstown area of Co Down.

Hugh McGeough (56) and his wife Jacqueline (44) were killed at their house at Legahory Court on March 7th.

They had been shot at least once in a downstairs room of the house, which was fitted with bulletproof windows and doors.

In February 2004 Mr McGeough was jailed for nine years when he was convicted of wounding Peter McNally (19), with intent in Craigavon in 2001. The teenager was on the run from a young offender centre in Belfast.
