Cocaine worth €1.1 million has been seized during a house search in north Dublin.

A house in Blakestown was searched yesterday evening as part of an ongoing operation targeting criminal gangs in the Blanchardstown area.

Gardaí from the Blanchardstown drugs and detective unit assisted by officers from the ‘Operation Anvil’ team seized a substantial quantity of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia during the search.

A man (27) was arrested in connection with the seizure and is being held at Finglas Garda station.

Another man in his 40s was arrested today over the seizure of one kilogram of cocaine, worth an estimated €70,000, at a house in Mulhuddart, north Dublin.
