Gardaí are investigating a road collision in which a man (19) died in Kilkenny last night.
A car and a van collided shortly after 11pm last night on the R693 at Troyswood, Freshford Road, Kilkenny.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to St. Lukes hospital in Kilkenny.
Elsewhere, a man (58) was killed last night when he was struck by a lorry in Co Monaghan.
He died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, after the incident on the N2 at Kilnacloy at 7.30pm.
