Two arrested after shots fired at Garda car

Two men have been arrested after shots were fired at an Garda patrol car in Dublin.

Two men have been arrested after shots were fired at an Garda patrol car in Dublin.

The incident happened just before midnight last night when the unmarked Garda car followed a vehicle which was acting suspiciously in the Inchicore area.

Gardai had their patrol car rammed and fired at after they tried to stop the car.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Bluebell Road and a pump action shotgun was discovered nearby.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old in connection with the incident. Nobody was injured.
