Turkey is working on plans to develop nuclear energy and intends to discuss the proposal soon with companies from nuclear energy-producing countries, Energy Minister Mr Hilmi Guler said today.
Mr Guler told reporters the authorities were looking into possible locations for a nuclear power station, including a Mediterranean coastal area.
Turkey postponed similar plans in 2000.
