Three UK nationals charged with the importation of cannabis and possessing the drug with intent to sell or supply it to others on November 16th, 1999, pleaded not guilty when their trial opened yesterday at the Cork Circuit Criminal Court.

Not guilty pleas were entered by Richard George Preece (48) of Waddenham, London N7; Mathew Paul Simpkins (32) of Cadiz, Spain, and Barry William Court (52) of Cadiz, Spain.
