The Special Criminal Court yesterday fixed June 10th for the trial of three men charged in connection with the discovery of a van bomb near the

Border in 1995.

Mr Michael Hegarty (43), a former member of Republican Sinn Fein's ardchomhairle and a native of Co Clare, with an address at Knockmore Grove, Tallaght, Co Dublin, is charged with the unlawful possession of "an explosive substance with intent to endanger life at Longfield, Etra, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, on November 10th, 1995.

Mr Robert Anthony McGilloway (28), a native of Derry city, with an address at Swords Road, Co Dublin, is similarly charged.

Mr Padraig Fee (18), of Tattyboy, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, is charged with unlawful possession of an explosive substance at Tattyboy on two separate occasions, November 7th and 10th, 1995.
