Three traffic wardens have been suspended by Ennis Town Council without pay in a dispute over “danger” money.

Three traffic wardens have been suspended by Ennis Town Council without pay in a dispute over “danger” money.

The wardens claim that they are frequently assaulted as they police parking areas.

The Co Clare council said the traffic wardens had been removed from the council payroll “as a result of their failure to carry out their full range of duties as assigned to them”.
