New measures aimed at making Dublin city centre more amenable to public transport, pedestrians and cyclists are being implemented today by Dublin Corporation.

The new traffic arrangements will include no right turn for private vehicles from South Great George's Street to Dame Street, and no left turn from Dawson Street to Nassau Street.

The northbound carriageway in O'Connell Street - between Henry Street and the site of the Old Carlton cinema - is reduced to two lanes.
