The driver of a tractor is being questioned on suspicion of drink-driving after he struck and killed a pedestrian, in Co Galway last night.
The deceased man was named this morning as Jim Callen (62) with an address at Kilkerrin, where the collision occurred.
Mr Callen was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after being hit by the tractor at 7.30 pm.
