Celtic remain on course for back-to-back Scottish Premier League titles after holding Old Firm rivals Rangers to a 1-1 draw at Ibrox today.

Bulgarian international Stilian Petrov gave Celtic a first-half lead but Arthur Numan levelled the scores for Rangers after the break with a blistering long range drive.

The draw maintained Celtic's 10-point advantage and three more wins from seven matches will see Martin O'Neill's men retain their championship crown.

Goalscorer Petrov was happy with a point which keeps Celtic on course for the title.

"It's a good thing to take a point and so we are really, really happy," Petrov told Sky Sports.

Numan admitted that Rangers need a miracle if they are to catch the reigning champions.

"You have to be honest with yourself," he said. "Before the game we knew that we really needed the three points today."
