Three of the four Rio Tinto employees on trial for stealing state secrets have contested the charge, Zhang Peihong, a lawyer for one of the defendants said today.
He described the defendant who did not contest the charge as "the fourth defendant", without giving a name. In the trial schedule, the fourth defendant is Liu Caikui.
Tao Wuping, a lawyer for another of the four, said the trial had finished but he did not expect a verdict to be announced for days or possibly weeks.
