Udine - Three policemen were killed yesterday when a bomb exploded outside a shop in the north-east Italian city of Udine, officials said.
The Italian Prime Minister, Mr Massimo D'Alema, said it appeared the bombing was connected with organised crime and that early fears of a guerrilla attack seemed unfounded.
