Three men charged over Cork drug seizures

Three men have been charged in connection with two major drug seizures in Co Cork.

Three men have been charged in connection with two major drug seizures in Co Cork.

Mr Michael Tanner (38) from Casement Street, Clonakilty was charged with two counts of possession for sale or supply of €100,000 worth of cocaine at Ballinhassig on June 2nd.

A second man, 35-year-old Mr Noel Phair of Shannonvale, Clonakilty was charged with two counts of possession for sale or supply of €100,000 worth of cocaine on June 2nd and two counts of possession for sale or supply of cannabis resin worth €1 million on June 3rd.

The third man James Tobin from Assumption Place, Clonakilty was charged with allowing his house in Ballinhassig to be used for the sale or supply of cocaine.

Judge Terence Finn remanded Mr Tanner Bantry District Court next Friday. Mr Tobin was remanded in custody with bail on his own surety of €15,000 and an independent surety of €60,000 to appear at Skibbereen District Court next Tuesday.

Mr Phair was released on bail of €6,000 and an independent surety of €30,000 to appear at Bandon District Court on July 2nd.
