Three held over Dublin explosion

Three men aged in their 20s have been arrested in connection with an explosion in Ballyfermot last night.

Three men aged in their 20s have been arrested in connection with an explosion in Ballyfermot last night.

The blast happened after an improvised explosive device detonated under a car in a driveway of a house at Thomond Road, Ballyfermot, at 10.40pm.

The explosion caused substantial damage to the car.

The men are being held at Ballyfermot Garda station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939.

No injuries were sustained, and the scene is being preserved for a technical examination.
