Three held after security van raid in Co Down

Three men were arrested by police today after the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Co Down.

Three men were arrested by police today after the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Co Down.

A cash box believed to be linked to the theft was also recovered.

The three were detained when a car was intercepted on the Newtownards dual carriageway. It followed the raid on a van outside a bank in Killinchy Street, Comber, police said.
