Three people are believed to have been shot dead at a law school in the US state of Virginia.

Reports suggest a gunman killed three people and critically wounded three others.

The dead include a student, a faculty member and the dean of the Appalachian School of Law, in the town of Grundy.

It is believed the gunman - a student apparently angry over bad grades - is in police custody.
