A third teenager has been arrested in connection with the arson attack on a car in Limerick last Sunday in which two children were seriously injured.

He was detained last night, under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, when he voluntarily turned up at Mayorstone Garda station.

Two young men, who have just turned 17, appeared in court last night charged in connection with the attack in Moyross that has left six-year-old Millie Murray and four-year-old Gavin in a serious condition at Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, Dublin.

The teenagers cannot be identified for legal reasons.
