'The Irish Times' on your mobile

Launching today, irishtimes.com is now available in a version optimised for use on your mobile phone

Launching today, irishtimes.com is now available in a version optimised for use on your mobile phone. The mobile version is accessible on all phones with a web browser, but is best experienced on smartphones including iPhones, BlackBerrys and Nokias.

In addition to a full breaking news service that is updated daily, the mobile site provides highlights from each day’s newspaper. Some of our readers’ favourite functions, such as most read stories and weather, are also included.

In the run-up to the Budget next week, the mobile site will play a key role in keeping you up to date with the news as it happens.

“We thought it was important to devise a site that would work on as wide a range of mobile devices as possible,” said Online Editor Hugh Linehan.
