Fruit Ninja has been around for a while, so it was only a matter of time before the Kinect-enabled version hit Microsoft’s console. The basic concept is still the same. Dice the fruit, earn some points, avoid being blown up by bombs every now and again. With the Kinect version, your arms are the blades, so you get to wave your arms like a lunatic and work up a sweat, all in the name of fun.

However, while this game is a great distraction on the mobile, on the console, it loses something – probably the mobile’s “any time, any place” appeal. Also, mobile players may find the Kinect version is not as accurate as their touchscreen, making it a bit frustrating at times. Still, it’s good for a quick distraction, and has enough modes – including classic, arcade and zen – to keep you occupied for a while.
