Major companies will donate technology to charities under a new programme launched today.

Children's organisation Barretstown will be the first to officially benefit from the ENCLUDEit scheme.

Minister for Social Affairs Martin Cullen will hand over technology to children helped by the charity to mark the launch.

The donation programme is supported by multinational computer giants like Microsoft, Cisco and Symantec. It helps non-profit organisations cut costs by giving them reduced price software for their computer systems.
