Teachers at four schools have voted in favour of industrial action to protest at teacher shortages in primary schools, the president of the INTO, Mr Brian Hynes has said.
The schools are the Central Model Senior and St Mary's Place Boys national schools in central Dublin, Dooagh NS in Achill and Crimlin NS in Castlebar, Co Mayo.
