THE Dail has adjourned for a shorter than usual summer recess

THE Dail has adjourned for a shorter than usual summer recess. It will reconvene for one day, Thursday, July 25th, to pass the Bill proposing a freeze on the assets of suspected drug barons and to debate the crime issue, and then adjourn until September 25th, writes Geraldine Kennedy.

Oireachtas committees will continue to meet during July and September. The provisional legislative agenda to be debated will include the Family Law (Divorce) Bill, the Organised Crime (Restraint and Disposal of Illicit Assets) Bill, the Health (Amendment) Bill, the Control of Horses Bill, the Adoption (No Bill and the Merchant Shipping (Liability of Shipowners and Others) Bill.
