Boxing: Katie Taylor boxed her way into the semi-finals of the Ahmet Cup today with a convincing 24-3 light welterweight win over Sweden's Klara Svensson in Istanbul, Turkey.
The current world and European lightweight champion has moved up to light welter for the tournament as part of the preparations for her world title defence in China next November
She will now meet China's Niyxur Ting in tomorrow's semi-final.
Elsewhere, Darren O'Neill moved up from middleweight to light heavy for the tournament and came from behind to beat Yerkbulan Sinaliev of Kazakhstan 16-12 in tonight's quarter-final.
Ryan Lindberg and Carl Frampton lost their respective quarter-finals to Lipon Abuta from Kazakhstan (17-4) and Aydin Bunyamin from Turkey (11-8).
